CCES Overlay SDK

The CCES Overlay SDK is a read-only diagnostic tool that integrates with existing systems to assess structural risk.

How It Works

1. Ingestion

CCES accepts logs and evaluation runs from your system. No modifications to system internals are required.

2. Analysis

The SDK applies RAP and LHSI to observable signals. Perturbation and recoverability are assessed using domain-native metrics.

3. Classification

The system is classified as green, amber, or red based on structural robustness and capacity exhaustion.

4. Reporting

A detailed risk report is generated. The report includes classification, supporting evidence, and methodology notes.

What Customers Receive

Risk Classification Report

Executive summary with green/amber/red classification and key findings.

Detailed Analysis

Breakdown of RAP and LHSI metrics, perturbation results, and recoverability patterns.

Methodology Documentation

Clear explanation of how CCES arrived at its classification. Suitable for audit and governance review.

Benchmark Comparison

How your system's risk profile compares to validated benchmarks (if applicable).

Integration Support

Technical guidance on log format, data ingestion, and report interpretation.

What CCES Never Touches

System Internals

  • • Model weights
  • • Reward functions
  • • Policy parameters
  • • Training data
  • • Observation space

Runtime Control

  • • Does not modify behavior
  • • Does not intervene in decisions
  • • Does not change rewards
  • • Does not alter policies
  • • Does not pause or restart

Key principle: CCES is a read-only diagnostic overlay. It observes and reports. It never modifies or controls the system it evaluates.

Integration Requirements

Log Access

CCES requires access to behavioral logs and evaluation runs. Logs should include actions, observations, rewards, and timestamps.

Domain-Native Signals

CCES works with signals native to your system's domain. No special instrumentation is required.

Evaluation Harness

Your system should support perturbation testing (controlled disruptions). CCES can work with existing evaluation infrastructure.

No Training Access Required

CCES does not need access to training loops or model internals. Evaluation-only access is sufficient.

Deployment Model

Pilot Evaluation

Initial assessment of your system. CCES is applied to existing logs and evaluation runs. No system modifications required.

Ongoing Monitoring

After pilot, CCES can be integrated into your evaluation pipeline for continuous risk assessment.

Audit Integration

CCES reports can be incorporated into audit workflows and governance reviews.

Limitations & Scope

CCES is a diagnostic tool with specific capabilities and limitations:

Detects structural brittleness and capacity exhaustion
Works with domain-native signals only
Read-only; no system modification
Does not guarantee prevention of failure
Does not measure alignment or consciousness
Does not prescribe specific interventions
